May 29th: Friends of Wesleyville Village Country Market and Nature Fest!  Crafts, Antique Sale, Nature Walks and More, 10am-4pm.  2082 Lakeshore Road, Port Hope

​May 24th: Our Archivist will be out of the office attending the Canada Summer Jobs launch.  We will be closed for the morning, but OPEN from 1-5pm.

Port Hope and District Historical Society Heritage Fair at the Port Hope Lions Club, 10am-4pm

April 6th: Port Hope Archives' historical presentation to the 
Lions Club of Port Hope

April 4th-10th: Archives Awareness Week in Ontario!​

March 30th: Friends of Wesleyville Village AGM at Wesleyville Church, 2082 Lakeshore Road, Port Hope @ 7pm. Includes "Before Wesleyville" presentation by Trent University archaeologists!

March 2nd: Women's History in Port Hope Presentation (by the Port Hope Archives' Archivist), along with Black History in Oshawa (by the 
Oshawa Community Museum & Archives' Archivist); presented by the Whitby Archives in the Whitby Public Library.​

January 19th: Port Hope Archives' Annual General Meeting at the Port Hope Public Library
, 7pm.  Featuring a key-note address by author Sher Leetooze, "WWI Nursing Sisters of Port Hope & Hope Township

2015

October 2nd: Our archivist will be in Peterborough to attend the Municipal Archives Interest Group Open House; OPEN 1-5pm

September 25th: "The Art of Genealogy" Free Research Day at the Port Hope Archives for 
Culture Days!


September 18-20th: Come check out our booth at the Port Hope Fair!  This year's fair theme is "Denim Days," you'll get a 'pic' out of what we've done with it!

September 12th: Port Hope Archives' Annual Fundraising Yard Sale, 8am-1pm at 17 Mill Street North! Don't miss out on your chance to snag some great deals and support your local heritage!  

August 22nd: Come see our display at the Port Hope Farmers' Market for Heritage Day (8am-12pm)!  The Market is located behind Town Hall, 56 Queen Street

July 30th: Historical Presentation at Roseglen Village for Seniors @ 1:30pm; OPEN 9am-1pm; 3-5pm

July 2nd-August 20th: "Take These and Call Me in the Morning: Pharmaceutical Curios from the Patricia Sinnott Collection" (feat. photographs by Paul Bailey).  On display at the Port Hope Archives until August 20th, don't miss it!

June 7th: Friends of Wesleyville Village Country Market and Nature Fest, Wesleyville Church Grounds, 2082 Lakeshore Road, Port Hope, 10am-4pm

June 6th-7th: Tour the Port Hope Archives as part of Doors Open Northumberland!  Saturday and Sunday, 10am-4pm

May 27th-29th: OPEN regular hours; Archivist is away attending the Archives Association of Ontario conference in London, ON.

May 2nd-29th: "Ontario's Movie Theatres" a travelling exhibit from the Archives of Ontario.  Also, "A 'Capitol' Idea: Port Hope's Capitol Theatre" exhibit, curated by the Port Hope Archives in partnership with the Capitol Theatre.  Come see these exhibits before they're gone!

May 3rd: Port Hope & District Historical Society Heritage Fair, Port Hope Lions Club @ 29 Thomas Street, 10am-4pm. Come by and visit our booth!

April 7th-10th: Ontario Archives Awareness Week!  Durham Region Area Archives Group profiles local archives, including the PHA!


March 26th: "Our Hope: Lakeshore Road, 1801-2015" AGM and Display Day of the Friends of Wesleyville Village @ Ontario Street Theatre, 12-7pm, AGM to follow.
